Week 11-12: Scenario Testing

The past two weeks involved user testing and analyzing data. During this time, a few members of the MetaWear team made a trip to Toronto to attend the Toronto Design Offsite Festival (TO DO). At this festival we attended several exhibits. Although, some of the exhibits and installations did not relate to non-verbal communication, it was still an educational time to see designs from other fields. The main reason for attending TO DO was to listen to a talk about Designing the Future of Work. The talk was about the impact technology will have on workplaces and how to design a work space for the with these technologies in mind.

The following week, the group started user testing. The user testing included playing out scenarios and asking questions based on the scenario performed. Three users were asked to play out two different scenarios with the use of different technologies then asked questions about each scenario and comparing the scenarios. this results of testing helped validate that the proposed system will work. The next step is develop the form factor of the product and solidify the features of the system to be designed.
