A lot has changed from the last phase to this final phase. After the community consultation, it was decided that the form would need further refinement as it looked too humanoid and friendly for a conservative workplace.

Since the last phase, there were some key changes and improvements. The screen which used to show animated "eyes" that would be representative of the remote user has now changed to a screen that will show the remote user for a more personalized call. The form factor of the product has completely changed from looking like a humanoid robot to a simple raindrop-like form. The ideation process started by eliminating the arm-like feature of the robot and further inspiration from nature was researched. The final product would still have the same gestural features but the removal of the arms from the previous form made it more abstract resulting in a simple form factor. The final form was inspired based on the gestural communication between a mother herring gull and her young during feeding. The final form direction is highlighted in yellow below.
Based on the community consultation, it became clear that the wearable aspect of the project felt forced and did not benefit to achieving the project goals. This wearable would be the cause for unnecessary design, resulting in the elimination of the carrier concept.
The final product, Wynn, solves the remote communications problem found in workplaces in a more natural way compared to the current product available. Wynn aims to create a more natural and seamless communication in workplaces where there are remote users. Due to globalization, modern workplaces are now adapting to forward thinking environments, including working from home and remote locations. Without a physical presence in meetings, remote participants may feel neglected; many subtle gestures and facial expressions are lost, resulting in miscommunication. Each Wynn robot simulates the expressive and gestural presence of a remote user at the meeting table.
In addition, the remote user has full control of the camera and what they wish to see through Wynn. Based on change in facial expression and body language, Wynn will make human-like gestures. This will remind the meeting of the remote user’s presence, like real-life scenario, users indicate they are still active in the conversation with simple change in body movements and facial expressions. Wynn can move in any axis mimicking the capabilities of a human head. It will be able to move front to back and left to right and rotate left and right at 80° both ways or a combination of these movements.
The Wynn app for the remote user has features such as a chat room, able to view the shared screen from their laptop, the ability to pan the camera, and the ability to record the meeting through Wynn. In addition, if the remote user feels neglected, they can use the “call to attention” feature on the app to alert the group that the remote user would like to participate in the conversation. When Wynn is not in use, it will display the time and users can view meeting schedule directly from Wynn. Because of the touchscreen interface, they can pick-up calls, or call users from the product. Wynn is small is size and can easily be moved to other meeting rooms or used with other Wynn products for a meeting with multiple remote users.
